Horrible game, especially since all of it is pretty much the same every game.
-The enemy moves on the same path to you every time.
-When you attack you get the same events
-No animation
-The icons were stolen from a game on bonus(dot)com, these would be the square player/enemy icon(s) and the 3d-ish skull.
Try harder, depending on what your coding it's not that hard, I know because I've had flash for two years.

Everything in this game is greatly thought out. I love the idea and concept of the game. It is truly unique. I like how the screen blurs at the edges when you are near death. It closely relates to the game Mono by Binary Zoo in every single possible aspect, but I am sure that you don't know anything about that. ;)

Good game, the graphics were simple but looked really good. The laser upgrades made the game not to repetitive (is that the right word?) and it was a good game overall. A few suggestions are to add a way to get extra lives, and maybe some other types of upgrades like move speed or something.
Score 8/10 (-2 for low amount of lives) and 5/5

The game is very good and it reminds me of metal slug (which is good). I think you really need to give a demo warning. When I finished the first level I had to go to miniclip to play the game, and I had to redo the first level which was way to long.

A few suggestions I have are:
-For the blue haired girl you might want to redo her attack animations, they look pretty laggy.
-For a better hit effect you might want to add some kind of screen flash, system. Um... add another layer make a movie clip that takes up the whole screen, give it the instance name flasher or something, then make the first frame transparent and the second frame white or whatever, then when you need it to flash:
1.In the attack animation when you hit do something like flasher.gotoAndStop(2)
then next frame is flasher.gotoAndStop(1)
OR
2.You could just use flasher.Play because it will stop at the 1st frame anyway (if you put stop())

There are a lot of problems with the game (these are just my opinion).
-hinu and jukata have no down mid air, so you have a 100% chance of getting hit after launching enemies up
-you can't change direction in the middle of a jump, which make it to hard to move around
-while attacking you get moved forward to far and if you don't use down/up s you will always get hit
- monks attack to fast
-you can't use guns most of the time in mid air
-the semi automatics can't be fired by holding s down, I think charge shot should be something else up+d maybe?
Anyway fixing most of those would probably get you a much better score. Good luck on finishing this =D

lol heres why im glad your not planning it, up + D for one is the launch attack.
And semi automics arent a squeeze trigger type of gun. By definition, a semi automatic fires a bullet every time the trigger is pulled. therefore, tapping S simulates a semi auto better than holding it :)
of course the full game does have a tmp. Which is Automatic and not semi auto.
the mid air jump movement is fixed, but it wasnt an issue to me i did that on purpose i only fixed it due to popular demand lol.
and you can use guns in the air timing is crucial though. of course this isnt your fault either. This is explained in the full games tutorial which is 100% interactive. The monks can be quick i know, working on tonning em down a bit.

The animation and drawings were very good, but the necks were kind of thick (and long). Other than that good job, I'll make sure I watch the next one =D

Very cool movie =D The graphics are good and the damage numbers remind me of matt-likes-swords' movies. The only problem is that it was very short.
Also I liked the A button in metal mancer 1. Good luck on your next movie =D
